How We Measure Delivery

In construction recruitment, results are binary. Either the workers turned up, or they didn't. Either they were compliant, or they weren't. Either the project stayed on programme, or it slipped. Hard Hat measures itself on these hard outcomes, not on soft promises or marketing claims.

We record the requirement, candidates introduced, confirmed start, attendance feedback and any replacement request against each booking. Availability and mobilisation times are confirmed for the specific trade, location and checks required.

Right to Work evidence, identity and role-relevant cards are checked before placement. Expiry dates are monitored and compliance information can be issued to authorised client contacts. We do not publish unsupported fill-rate, retention or audit-pass percentages.

03Why it matters

The Cost of Poor Recruitment

When a construction recruitment agency fails, the costs are real and immediate. A no-show operative costs you a day's programme slippage. A non-compliant worker risks enforcement action. A poor-quality tradesperson creates rework that multiplies through the programme. These failures compound across a project lifecycle, turning a minor staffing issue into a major commercial problem.

Hard Hat invests in worker checks, document monitoring and booking records because these reduce avoidable gaps. Site feedback is retained against the worker record and considered for future matching.

We will not quote an unverified headline percentage as a substitute for answering the live requirement. Clients receive a clear response on available workers, outstanding checks and the timescale we can support.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Hard Hat publish an average fill rate?

Not without a defined reporting period and auditable source. For each live request, we confirm availability and timescales based on the trade, location, checks and current worker pool.

How does Hard Hat manage compliance?

We record Right to Work, identity and role-relevant card evidence before placement, monitor expiry dates and make compliance information available to authorised client contacts.

Does Hard Hat publish a repeat-client percentage?

No. Contractors do return for further bookings, but we do not publish a percentage without a defined measurement period and source.

Does Hard Hat track worker performance?

Yes. We operate a structured feedback loop where site managers rate operatives after each placement. This data informs future selections and ensures underperformers are removed from our active workforce pool.
