01What we supply

Labourers for Reading and the Thames Valley

Thames Valley labour is a driving market. Almost every operative we place around Reading, Bracknell and Slough travels by car, which makes early starts and out-of-town sites straightforward but means parking availability is a genuine booking condition rather than a detail. If your compound is full, tell us before we place someone.

The work skews to plot-based housing support — assisting bricklayers and groundworkers, keeping plots clear, distributing materials — plus logistics and data centre sites where housekeeping and material control are managed to a much tighter standard than on a typical housing plot.

Data centre and technical sites are worth calling out because access control is strict, security clearance may be needed and inductions are long. Those requirements suit longer bookings rather than day cover, and we would recommend placing a small consistent gang for the duration rather than rotating operatives through a lengthy onboarding every week.

02What you get

Every labourer is checked before they reach your gate

Vetting is done before we put someone forward, not after you have inducted them. The evidence sits in our compliance pack and we will send it for your PQQ.

CSCS card verified

Checked live against the register. Green Labourer as the baseline; we will tell you honestly where someone is carded but genuinely inexperienced.

Right to work

Original documents or share code checked in person, with expiry tracked. This is the check most often done badly elsewhere and it is where supply chain liability lands.

Two site references

Called directly and asked about attendance and timekeeping first — for labour, reliability is the whole product.

Experience level recorded honestly

We separate general labourers from skilled labourers and from operatives who can be left to run a task, and we tell you which you are getting.

Additional tickets where needed

Traffic marshal, fire marshal, first aid, abrasive wheels and manual handling confirmed where your requirement calls for them.

07Questions from hirers

Hiring labourers — frequently asked

Yes, but plan for the onboarding. Access control and induction on those sites take real time, so we would rather place a consistent small gang for the duration than send different faces each week and burn a morning on paperwork every Monday.

A general labourer clears, carries, assists and follows direction. A skilled labourer can be given a task — a section of dig by hand, kerb laying, concreting assistance, setting out a clean area — and left to complete it. We record which is which and we will not sell you one as the other.

Yes. Those roles need specific tickets and a particular temperament — someone who will stop a wagon and challenge a visitor — and we place against that rather than sending a general labourer with a hi-vis.

Tell us on the day. We do not charge for a worker you send off site in the first shift, and we will replace rather than debate it. Attendance is the whole product in labour supply and we manage it as such.
