01What we supply

Slinger Signallers for Hertfordshire and the northern M25 corridor

Hertfordshire lifting spans residential tower crane work around Stevenage and Hatfield, industrial and studio-related steel and plant lifts through Borehamwood and Watford, and a steady flow of mobile crane visits for smaller commercial projects. Most operatives we place here are equally comfortable on a tower crane hook and on a one-day mobile visit.

Studio and media-related work in the Borehamwood belt is worth calling out because it runs to unusual sequences — lifts into and out of stages, sometimes at odd hours, with production schedules that do not bend. Slingers on those jobs need to work quietly, keep to the agreed slot and take direction from people who are not construction staff.

With the M1 and A1(M) either side of the county we can draw slingers from a wide catchment into Hertfordshire sites.

02What you get

Every slinger signaller is checked before they reach your gate

Vetting is done before we put someone forward, not after you have inducted them. The evidence sits in our compliance pack and we will send it for your PQQ.

CPCS or NPORS card verified

Checked live against the scheme register for the Slinger/Signaller category — A40 and the relevant variant — not accepted from a photo.

Card category matched to your lift

We confirm the operative is carded for the type of lifting you are running, including remote and radio-controlled operations where relevant.

Right to work

Originals or share code checked in person, with expiry dates tracked.

Lift plan familiarity

References asked specifically about working to an appointed person's lift plan and to a lifting supervisor, not just general site work.

Medical and eyesight declaration

Confirmed where the client's lifting procedure requires it.

07Questions from hirers

Hiring slinger signallers — frequently asked

This is one of our quickest areas. If you call first thing and can induct on arrival, a carded replacement on site before mid-morning is realistic — the M1 and A1(M) pool is what makes that possible.

We check the card number directly against the CPCS or NPORS register, confirm the category covers the lifting you have described and record the expiry. A photograph of a card is not evidence and we do not treat it as such — this is the single most commonly falsified ticket in the industry.

Often yes, but say so when you book. Those are different competencies and different cards, and if the operative is expected to do both we will place someone carded for both rather than have you discover the gap at first delivery.

Yes. Out-of-hours lifting, including possession and road-closure work, is a regular booking. Tell us the shift pattern up front so the operative is placed on the right pattern from day one.
