Telehandler Operators for London and the inside of the M25
On London sites the telehandler is usually the only mechanical means of getting material off a wagon and to the working face, and it is doing that inside a footprint measured in metres. Operators here spend the day working close to pedestrians, scaffolding and other plant, so we select on control and spatial awareness rather than raw pace.
Deliveries drive the shift. With no laydown on most central sites, wagons arrive on booked slots and have to be turned round quickly, meaning the operator is flat out for a window and then loading out scaffold lifts for the rest of the day. Where lifting is suspended rather than on forks, we confirm the endorsement and will recommend you pair the machine with a carded slinger.
Segregated pedestrian routes, banksman-controlled crossings and 360-vision requirements are standard on major London projects now. We brief operators on your traffic management arrangements before they arrive and check references specifically on behaviour around pedestrians, which is the single most common reason a plant operator gets removed from a London site.
Every telehandler operator is checked before they reach your gate
Vetting is done before we put someone forward, not after you have inducted them. The evidence sits in our compliance pack and we will send it for your PQQ.
CPCS or NPORS category verified
Checked live against the register. A17 telescopic handler and A77 360 slew are distinct categories and we confirm the right one for your machine.
Suspended load endorsement
Where you are lifting on forks or with a hook attachment we confirm the operative is trained and carded for suspended loads, not just for pallet handling.
Machine size and attachment match
We ask the make, reach and attachments in use — a 4m yard machine and a 17m heavy-lift telehandler need different operators.
Right to work
Originals or share code checked in person, with expiry tracking.
