01What we supply

Dryliners for live sites, not a database of CVs

Hard Hat supplies dryliners to fit-out contractors, drylining subcontractors and main contractors across London and the M25. Metal stud partitioning, MF and suspended ceilings, boarding, fire-rated and acoustic build-ups, and tapers and jointers for a finished surface.

Drylining sits directly in front of every finishing trade, so a shortfall here compounds daily.

One dryliner or a full gang with a working foreman. No minimum order — covering two absent boarders for a week is as legitimate a booking as staffing an entire floor plate.

02What you get

Every dryliner is checked before they reach your gate

Vetting is done before we put someone forward, not after you have inducted them. The evidence sits in our compliance pack and we will send it for your PQQ.

CSCS card verified

Checked live against the register — Blue Skilled Worker as the baseline for a stud and board hand.

NVQ Level 2 Interior Systems

Qualification behind the card confirmed, with the specific pathway noted — stud and board, ceilings, or dry lining finishing.

Fire-rated build-up experience

Where your specification includes fire or acoustic build-ups we confirm the operative has installed to a tested system, because deviation from the system detail voids it.

Right to work

Originals or share code checked in person, with expiry tracking.

References on setting out and rework

We ask previous sites about accuracy of setting out and how much came back at inspection.

04Before you call

What to tell us when you call

Six answers and we can price it and start searching on the same call.

  1. 01

Element: metal stud partitions, MF or suspended ceilings, boarding, or taping and jointing.

  2. 02

Whether build-ups are fire-rated or acoustic, and which tested system is specified.

  3. 03

Board type and layers — a two-layer fire board wall is a different rate and pace to single-layer.

  4. 04

Whether the gang is boarding only or also taping to a finished standard.

  5. 05

Floor area or linear metres, programme dates and access equipment provided.

  6. 06

Site postcode, hours, induction arrangements and material distribution route.

05Trades that go together

Most sites need more than one trade

We staff the whole package rather than a single line on your requirement, so one call covers the gang.

06Questions from hirers

Hiring dryliners — frequently asked

Yes. A typical gang is four to six operatives with a working foreman who sets out and checks the work, and we can add labourers to keep boards moving to the working face. On a floor plate the foreman pays for themselves in avoided setting-out errors alone.

The ones we place on that work do, and we treat it as a specific requirement. A fire-rated wall is only rated if it is built exactly as the tested system says — head detail, deflection head, service penetrations and all. Tell us the system reference when you book.

Yes, and it is often the right call. Boarding and taping are different skills paid at different rates, and a good taper following a good boarding gang produces a better surface than asking one crew to do both at pace.

You do. We supply labour — hand tools are the operative's own; boards, metal, fixings, towers and MEWPs remain your responsibility.
